Questions
Pricing questions, answered
How fees are worked out, what happens if things change and how payment works.
We start with your business structure, then take account of turnover, the number of directors or partners, and the services you need. Transaction volume matters too, because bookkeeping effort scales with it. The calculator on this site uses the same factors to produce an indicative figure.
Your agreed fee is fixed for the period covered by your engagement letter. If your circumstances change materially, for example you register for VAT or take on staff, we will discuss the effect on your fee before adding anything.
Prices shown on this site exclude VAT. Where VAT applies it is shown separately on your invoice and, if your business is VAT registered, it is usually recoverable in the normal way.
Monthly arrangements are usually paid by standing order or direct debit on an agreed date. One-off work is invoiced on completion unless we agree otherwise in advance.
Catch-up work is quoted separately so it does not distort your ongoing fee. We will tell you what is involved and what it will cost before we start, and once you are up to date the monthly figure applies as normal.
Yes. We ask for one month of notice so we can complete work in progress and hand over your records properly. There is no exit charge for doing so.
